I have been in the handyman business for 30years, It was about $12.50 an hour in 1995. It’s now 2025 and rate is $125.00 per appointment; rates change by different types of work, so don’t stress over this, typically its $75 an hour.

To date, I have never been sued, never broken a promise, or lied to anyone. So, I have that blessing and I am thankful for it. Do not get me wrong, I have made mistakes, But I believe in doing what’s right, In the end it’s well worth it.

I have worked for house builders, reviewed, red lined and changed many blueprints over the years.

Electrical, Plumbing, Flooring (excludes vinyl and carpet), Framing, remodeling, caulking, cleaning, sealing, reglazing, irrigation, just to name a few of the things.

For instance, let’s talk about garbage disposal replacement. It used to cost around $150, now it cost much more. Looking at Home Depot (5/28/2025) it brings up a range of disposals, In-Sink-Erator Badger 5 1/2 hp, that are priced $150 to $180. Which bring the cost up to around $250 dollars roughly for a replacement cost. There are other brands and other offers out there, like looking at a 3/4 hp disposal is on sale for $150. Still same price cost, but it now has a little more power for the disposer.

Solar and Fiber have now started to catch up with the home ownership and it’s just another small part of the things I work on.
